In this basic tutorial, Omar Alkattan will continue with his creating an ocean tutorial and in this tutorial, we'll add clear skies with a sunset.

Now
Do the following:
1-Create new composition with the following properties:

2-Add black solid layer with comp size

3-Name it water and add make it 3D, then change the following properties (scale, orientation) and change the Material Options: Ambient to 25
(to view Material Options hit : aa)

4- Add Ramp fx with the following properties:

Start color: 255, 170, 75
End color: 200, 100, 25
5- Add Fractal Noise fx with the following properties:

6- At the end of timeline, change the Evolution to 180:

7-Add CC Glass fx with the following properties:

8- Add Curves fx with the following properties:

8-Add the black solid again and name it Sky and make it 3D with the following properties:

9- Add Ramp fx with the following properties:

Start color: 255, 255, 0
End color: 150, 60, 0
10- Add Fractal Noise fx with the following properties:
Just change the Blending mode to (Screen)

11- Add the black solid again and name it Sun
12- Add Fill fx with the following properties:

Color: 255, 150, 0
13- On this layer (the Sun layer) draw a circle by mask (ellipse tool + pressing Shift) like this:

13- Change the Mask Feather to 10

14- Now change the Position to:

16- Add Light 1 (Ctrl+Alt+Shift+L) with the following properties:

Color: 255, 150, 50
17- Change the Position of Light 1 to:

18- Add Light 2 (Ctrl+Alt+Shift+L) with the following properties:

Color: 255, 150, 50
19- Change the Position of Light 2 to:

20- Add Light 3 (Ctrl+Alt+Shift+L) with the following properties:

Color: 255, 150, 50
21- Change the Position of Light 3 to:

22- Add Light 4 (Ctrl+Alt+Shift+L) with the following properties:

Color: 75, 25, 0
Now your Timeline should be looks like this:

And you’ve got this nice view:
