In this basic tutorial, Omar Alkattan will continue with his creating an ocean tutorial and in this tutorial, we'll add rain and clouds.

Now
Do the following:
1-Create new composition with the following properties:

2-Add black solid layer with comp size

3-Name it water and add make it 3D, then change the following properties (scale, orientation)

4-Add fractal noise fx without change any properties:

5-Add CC Toner fx with the following properties:

RGB = 50, 100, 175
6-Add CC Drizzle fx with the following properties:

7-Add CC Glass fx with the following properties:

8-Add the black solid again and name it Sky and make it 3D with the following properties:

9-Add Fractal Noise fx with the following properties:

At the end of timeline :

10- Add CC Toner fx with the following properties:

RGB = 60, 95, 160
11- Add the black solid again and name it Rain and change the Blending Mode to Add

12- Add CC Rain fx with the following properties:

13- Add the black solid again and name it Lightning and change the Blending Mode to Add

14- Press Alt + Shift + J
Or go to View Menu then chose (Go to Time)

Now press: Alt + [

15- Press Alt + Shift + J
Or go to View Menu then chose (Go to Time)

Now press: Alt + ]

16- Now the timeline should be look like this:

17- Add Advanced Lightning fx to the Lightning Layer with the following properties:

18- Now we will add Light
Choose layer menu New Light
Or press:
Ctrl + Alt +Shift + L
With the following properties:

19- Change the position of the light to:

20- Press Alt + Shift + J
Or go to View Menu then chose (Go to Time)

Now press: Alt + [
21- Press Alt + Shift + J
Or go to View Menu then chose (Go to Time)

Now press: Alt + ]
22- Duplicate the Light Layer (press Ctrl+D) and change the Position Property

Now your Timeline should be looks like this:

And you’ve got this nice view:
