The first two discs cover the Vegas Basics along with some tips and tricks that you'll want to have up your sleeve. Watch them, especially if you're an old hand with VEGAS. You'll be surprised at what you've forgotten! Disc 3 gets into Envelopes Keyframes Track Motion and some 3D. Vegas is king when it comes to Keyframes and Gary explains the ins and outs of successful keyframing quite nicely.

Disc 4, along with sections on Pan/Crop and Bezier masking, gets into the Audio tools that VEGAS is so well known for. This is a section that I found to be particularly interesting as Audio is 90% of your video (at least SOME of us believe that!)

The final disc in the set covers the compositing functions that are found in VEGAS 6 as well as Color Correction, Scripts Multi-Cam, rendering and HDV. Additional information on the DECKLINK board is covered so that you have a very comprehensive overview along with specific insights into the function of the program and its capabilities.

Disc 5 covers some of the more complex issues that Vegas 6 can handle.

Gary takes special care to fully explain what he is doing as he goes through the different sections of the course. He has a pleasant manner and comfortable style that won't jangle your nerves while you're trying to get a handle on the program. It takes a special kind of person to create these tutorial sets. If you have spent any amount of time with various programs, you know what I'm talking about. The best programs can be watched over and over again, while the others wind up gathering dust somewhere far from the edit suite. This set will get a lot of use.

Finally, there is one more touch that I really like. Included with the set is a booklet that contains an index of each disk with Disk/Section/Chapter listed in is so that you don't have to go searching around for hours trying to find that part about Moving Events Numerically or Text Masking. A very nice touch for ANY tutorial program.
