Hi Chris your 3D object tracking tutorial was great, its hard to find good instruction videos online. I am using SynthEyes and C4D as well, the only problem is when i apply my Tiff Sequence to my new material in C4D my tracking points dont accurately track the backgrund image. I used the same file in SynthEyes to create the tracking points as the file i used to create the Tiff Sequence. My tracking points track accurately in SynthEyes though. I was wondering if you have encountered this problem before or have any advice for me?

Any help wold be great!

Hey Chris,
thanks for your response. That would be great if we could find out a solution on this issue. In Syntheyes its easy to increase the count of the Trackingpoints ("Add many" function) which are actually sent to C4D. The problem in C4D is to build an apropriate "mesh" out of these points and smooth it out.

I do not have a specific solution to your question because I have never had a situation like this but now I am interested in the answer!!! Let me play around with it and see what I can come up with.

Hi Chris,

this is an excellent tutorial showing the workflow between three great applications. I find it cool that yous used some mograph effectors to animate this simple movements on the logo. But a little explanation for beginners on this why you used it would maybee made it better.
IMO you also could have been a little more detailed about Syntheyes. Which mode why are you using.A hint that reflections on the desk are bad trackers or showing up the grid of the cordinate system after you set it up would be great informations for starters. But probably the tutorial would have been to long then. I have a specific question on the reflection/shadow plane. How would you setup this if the plane wasn´t straight? Lets say you have some curvature in it which are tracked in syntheys perfectly - how would you aply these curves to the reflection plane inside C4D? Doing it by hand is pure madness but I couldn´t find a function which allows to aligne polygons to trackerpoints. Do you know any workaround on this?
