DE-INTERLACING IN AFTER EFFECTS
METHOD 3: NUDGE THE FOOTAGE
Another widely used trick, is to move the footage up or down half a pixel, in the composition window, with layer quality set to [best], to make sure sub-pixel rendering is activated. For some reasons this very primitive operation works great on some shots, and not so great on others

As you can see this leaves a bit more detail, causing the image
to blur less than with method 2, but the image is also a bit rougher and harsher.
