I
first caught interest in this field of work in the late 80s when I
moved from Malmo, Sweden to Los Angeles, California, USA and stayed for
about a year.
Once
back in Sweden I thought about my future plans but I started to work as
what you would call a cable guy and I saw a lot of TV, believe me. When
the company went bankrupt three years later I stood at a crossroad: Get
an education in the field of my interest or keep on working to pay the
bills, I chose paying the bills.
A
couple of years later after working in the security business, in the
second half of the 90s I finally came to my senses and got a college
degree as an Multi Media Producer. The final semester was almost all
about advanced Film Design and the tool was After Effects. Needless to
say, I was hooked, and have been ever since!
I'm
currently unemployed after working for a TV/WebTV production company
for a year (cut backs), and right now I'm working on my Reel, doing
some minor freelance stuff, and looking for employment at production
companies in the south of Sweden.
If you have very little knowledge about animating the camera and building a 3D comp, this tutorial is for you. In this tutorial, Bjorn Sjostrom tries to remove any fear toward the 3D tools in After Effects 5.5. He hopes it will give you an relaxed attitude towards animating the camera, and building a 3D corridor where only your imagination can stop you, the sky is not the limit but space is.
