DP/Producer Brandt Sleeper has an extensive and well-rounded
history in production.His credits
include:GMA, EXTRA, 60 Min. II, 20/20,
48 Hrs., History Channel, Discovery Channel, National Geographic, NFL Films,
MLB, VH1, MTV, CMT, City TV, HGTV, Paramount, Oprah, MDA and many others.His client base also includes a host of
corporate clients such as Bell Helicopter, EDS, EXXON/Mobil, Microsoft and Fireman’s
Fund. In addition to video, he has numerous
credits for sound design and scoring for film, television and radio.
After completing an undergraduate degree in musicology, he earned
his graduate degree in film with a minor in recording studio production.He taught
location sound for many years as an adjunct professor at the University of New
Orleans.
He also taught video production
for several years at the Art Institute of Dallas. Recently, he contributed all of the musical
analysis for the book Roy Orbison: The Invention of an Alternative Rock
Masculinity (Peter Lehman, Temple University Press, 2003). He is
presently writing a book dedicated to location sound production under the
working title Sound Decisions.
Today, he is president/owner of Rising Eagle Productions, a
turnkey film and video production company in Texas.His expertise encompasses media formats including
film, HD, Betacam, DVC Pro, HDV, and DV.His post-production facility offers AVID video editing, ProTools audio
post and After Effects compositing.He
currently focuses on script-to-screen production while continuing to freelance
as a DP and Producer in the industry.
