Artbeats stock footage is extremely high-end royalty free stock footage, just look at the gear they’re shooting with. When you see their free clip of the month you’ll know that you’re getting the crème de la crème. Simply sign up for their free newsletter and you’ll receive a link to your free video clip every month.
Footage Firm
Need good location shots for a price that works with any budget? Then Footage Firm is the destination for you. On their site you’ll find tons of great freebies that can be downloaded whenever you want. In addition to that, they also have a free clip of the month.
RevoStock
RevoStock is a site that houses footage shot by professionals all over the globe. With their huge library of clips they probably have the footage you’ve been looking for. Registered members can download a free clip every week.
Big Stock Photo
Big Stock Photo has a ton of royalty free stock photos that can even be used in web design templates. Since the quality on most images is fantastic, this site will be worth a visit. Once registered you can download a free image every week.
iStockphoto
This site definitely has international flavor with contributing artists from all over the world. You’ll be able to download a new image every week just for registering, and these photos are high end must have images. If that’s not enough, iStock also offers a free vector image and video clip every month in addition to the free photos.
Shutterstock
Shutterstock has millions of royalty free photos and they are giving away a photo and vector image every week for free. As the outstanding images below show, it’s worth the trip to their site every week. A matter of fact, Shutterstock’s free content is so cool I used some of it in the design of this article.
Narrator Tracks
Narrator Tracks creates royalty free music for a lot of genres. You can request any two free songs from their library, which can be some what difficult because they have such a huge selection. I’ve used their music on hundreds of projects and feel it’s worth the time to check out their music.
Partners In Rhyme
Partners In Rhyme is a place to find free sound effects, music loops and midi files. These sounds range in all sorts of categories. Their free selections is massive, so be sure to plan on spending some time on this site.
Soundsnap
Soundsnap offers free sound effects and loops. This site is a community of audio enthusiasts that want to share their original audio elements. You’ll be amazed at the huge amount of freebies available here.
The freebies on this list should be of value to any media professional. When I got free assets I used to think, “what in the world would I use that lousy clip for?” Not any more! Some of the highest quality assets that you would pay money for are available for free! Times have changed. No more eating free samples off a toothpick, it’s time to enjoy your free lunch and eat it too!
