But I think I would rather use masks and the stroke (or 3d stroke) effect for this. This will allow me to go back and fix problems in the sketch, or change it at will. If you'll look closely, the transition to the lion character is a bit odd as points travel to the opposite side. This could be fixed by creating a transitional mask.
