Robert Wilson
UnCommon Grafx Indianapolis, Indiana USA
"When we spoke with some of our friends at Newtek about finding us a leader for a new Toaster 2 forum we wanted to add to the Cow, they were unanimous in their vote for Robert Wilson to join the Cow Team," says Creative Cow director, Kathlyn Lindeboom. "And after corresponding with him, we can see why they thought so highly of Robert. He has a long-running history of using computer-based video systems that dates back to the early Targas and later the first Video Toasters. He has a broad range of experience which we are delighted to add to the Cow Team. He has wonderful stories of early Targas and Elastic Reality before it was even called that -- me, I feel younger just reading his emails!"
About himself, Robert says: "I hail from Indianapolis, Indiana -- born and raised, but you'd never know it to meet me... or so I'm told. Cutting to the chase, I began my video intrigue when I purchased my Amiga 1000. When the VideoToaster arrived, I was in heaven because all of my investments to that day were in that direction as I worked at an Amiga store, owned two prior to working there. I just knew they were the future! Ummm, well, the idea was... Many more came from the 'girlfriend' I grew up with. I was very fortunate to be employed at a local educational institution for deaf students at a time when they were investing in technology. I attained my MA in Deaf Education and taught for six years as a computer technologist. (Big word for computer guy on campus:) Wired classrooms for the internet, the campus for video, and had tours through my area as we taught students the burgeoning graphic arts of the day: non-linear editing, scanning, the animating of still images, 3D images and animation. We used Elastic Reality before it even was. ;_) Quite exciting it was! Now, I'm a freelancer in animation, video editing and ASL interpreting. I do on-site shoots with up to 10 cameras, character animation with hair(!), special effects of any kind on a smaller than expected budget and I have a Video Toaster 2."

CreativeCOW leader, Robert Wilson says of NewTek's TriCaster: Smothering Doubts with Awards, 'This years NAB delivered on the promises of bigger, better and cooler. NewTek's TriCaster came away as the coolest of them all and for good reason: it's insanely fantastic.'
