Nice tutorial! I have a suggestion that may speed up the process of making sure your noise animation isn't "on crack" as you put it. if you copy the noise channel from your material into a displacer deformer shader you can instantly see the animation results by adding the displacer to your object.

Thanks and keep making tuts! =D

Hey- How do you get the box not to bounce around in R12?

I really like this water tutorial!
I tried to build the same but I couldn't get the CS-daylight plugin to work like in your scene.
Especially I dont have a visible sun and the nice sun glares on the water.
I tried to bring an appropriate Material to the Rim-Edit object but its not visible in the render, altough visible in the editor (of course I set the active for rendering button :-)
I think its due to the expresso setting, which I dont really understand to be honest.

Can you provide your scenefile or give any advice how to set up the daylight with visible sun?

Thank you!

best regards,
richard

Hey man. I enjoyed the Tutorial, but there's one part where the video skips when you are going over texture. It seems like you were in the middle of explaining something during that part. Any chance of updating that? Thanks.
