Creative COW's Services Offered Directory is a Powerful Free Resource for Your Business.

Our members can now get FREE marketing and promotion for their businesses with help from Creative COW. Yes, it really is free. Why? With costs rising and profits falling in nearly every sector of our industry -- and competition fiercer than ever because of it -- we wanted to help our members attract new business for themselves and the services they offer.

At right, you see the entry for Pixel Dealer, which includes their logo, their reel, and (using the latest version of Google Maps) we've conveniently shown you where in the world they are located. Pixel Dealer is on the island of Reunion, off the coast of Madagascar, and they do some great work. Check them out. Services are sorted by service categories and by geography and nations. We have heard from a number of our members that this section "looks like the United Nations with all of the flags."

You can sort by nation, by state, province or district (where applicable), as well as by category. We have heard from many of our members that the Services Directory is both powerful and intuitive to use.

To help protect your privacy, phone numbers are converted into image files, to help hide your contact information from web crawlers.

It costs you absolutely nothing to be a part of this new Creative COW service. Just visit our "Services" section at services.creativecow.net. Our new Jobs Center, located at jobs.creativecow.net also has links to the Service listings.

It's a part of the new Creative COW we have been working on for a couple of years and this is just one new area, we have many others nearing completion. We hope you like them all as much as the new Services Directory, which is proving to be one of the most popular features we have ever added to Creative COW. It is an honor for our team to serve you all. Thank you for being a part of Creative COW.

The Best Excuses from New or Underemployed Filmmakers and Freelancers: "You've really really got to stop being lazy and making excuses for not getting what you want," says Creative COW Contributing Editor Kylee Wall. "Seriously. It's sad and it makes me sad for you. So sad in fact, that I've created this BEST OF compilation of stupid excuses. It's perhaps a little more brash than my usual fare. Don't mistake this for arrogance. I'm young and stupid too, but I'm still allowed to almost rant. Pseudo-rant. Pretend I made you cookies and you're eating them as you read this."

Get Hired! Be Professional and Pay Attention to Detail

"As technology gets better, communications skills seem to get worse." So says Creative COW leader and Contributing Editor Walter Biscardi, one of the industry's most respected business owners. "The same talented people who can create amazing things on screen have absolutely no idea how to represent themselves via a resume or online demo. Most of what I'm about to say seems to be common sense, but apparently it isn't." You definitely don't want to miss this potentially career-changing advice from an industry luminary!

Out of the Box Solutions?

"If only problems stayed in boxes," Tim Wilson muses over the "Making It Up Issue" of Creative COW Magazine. He's also okay with a bunch of new problems. Making things up as you go along means that what looks like the end of the road doesn't have to be the end of the story.

Are you sure that this is a good idea?

Are you sure that this is a good idea?

When we started with Creative COW Magazine, we mostly knew what we didn't want to do: the tutorials and reviews that were the hallmark of other magazines. Why bother? We already had literally thousands of them online. Instead, we made the same choice that had made such a difference online: focus on people. In fact, we've asked over 120 of them to tell us their stories since we started. Most have never written anything for public consumption before, but their expertise and their passion spring off the page.
