In this lesson, Kevin P McAuliffe shows you how to create a 2.5D text. Why would you want to do this? Cinema 4D Lite can be a big learning curve for most, and the built in extrusion feature of After Effects can take a long time to process. This technique that Kevin will demonstrate creates awesome looking "almost 3D" text, with lightning quick render times.

Re: Advanced AECC Techniques: FOUR - 2.5D Text
by Janelle Jefferies
Hi Kevin,
Unfortunately this didn't work for me. When I went to the Slider Control after completing my expression to change my z position to 1.0, the position values went to it's yellow default colours where yours were still red.
When I duplicated the Text layers, their positions were not offset by 1.0.

Can you please assist,
Kind regards,
Janelle
