Of course if you don't need handles you can just batch import the sequence itself (highlight seq in bin -right click, choose batch import), choose offline only and save a step inthe process. The new master clips will be created automatically..

Another good one.

You might mention that the last part depends on the original footage existing somewhere. Should be obvious but may not be to a panicked or stressed person.
