Particle World Transitions: Part 2 Play Video Rob Mize further develops the techniques demonstrated in Part 1 of this tutorial. He applies the Particle World Text to Sand effect to 3D text created using the Shatter Effect, and composites that onto a background. He then reverses the effect, changing sand into an onscreen character who finally, blows away as dust in the wind.

Creating a 3d Winter Scene with Photoshop and Particular Play Video In this video tutorial, Michael Park spreads a little Holiday cheer by creating a stylized Winter scene, complete with true 3d text and a forest of trees. Along the way, Mike will demonstrate how to create 3d text inside of Photoshop, and then import and integrate and animate that text in After Effects. Unlike other methods utilizing only After Effects, this method creates true 3d extruded text using Photoshop's 3d capabilities inside of After Effects. In addition, Mike will show how to populate and custom color an entire forest with Particular in a manner of minutes. The only thing you need to bring is the hot chocolate.

Create Extruded Text with Boris Continuum Complete 6 AE Play Video This new video tutorial shows you the basics of using BCC Extruded Text in Adobe After Effects. BCC Extruded Text belongs to the 3D Objects category of filters which is new to Boris Continuum Complete 6. These stunning OpenGL-based filters use vertex and pixel shaders that enable the generation of animated 3D shatter, bulge, bend, taper, twist, ripple, and wave effects. You can also create reflection or texture maps for the generated 3D text - from any image or video clip in the AE timeline.
