Using a Little Blackmagic to Revisit a Documentary

Pixie Dust flows from Blackmagic Design's Teranex 2D Processor to integrate and upconvert newly discovered vintage SD footage, photographic stills and new interviews into a re-edited and remastered 2001 documentary memorializing the 1963 NCAA "Game of Change" between Mississippi State University and Loyola. Over 60% of the new DVD/Blu-ray includes new footage or pictures, and the challenge was to make the old SD footage look as good as possible in an HD project.

  Play Video
In this new video tutorial, Floh Peters of Magic Eye takes a look at Media 100 Suite's new MultiClip Editing feature. Ideal for music videos, studio and on-location television, concerts, and live events, MultiClip Editing facilitates real-time editing of multiple video and audio sources in a familiar, easy-to-use interface. A camera can be added to an existing MultiClip as its source media becomes available, allowing you to begin cutting a multicam shoot faster than ever before. Cameras can be synced via timecode, sync marks, or in-points. When syncing via timecode, additional footage can even be assigned to an existing camera - extremely helpful in situations where a camera has been stopped to change tapes or batteries.

Evoluent Vertical Mouse

Evoluent Vertical Mouse

It starts as a slight twinge in the shoulder, or a prickle in the wrist, a dime-sized knot in the forearm or a tingling somewhere up and down the arm. Whatever the symptoms, the cause is usually the same - RSI or repetitive strain injury or its widely publicized brother, carpal tunnel syndrome. In this article, John David Hutton takes a look at the new Evoluent Vertical Mouse. It could be the answer to protecting yourself from carpal tunnel and other strains.
