Sony Vegas Pro Basics FORTY-TWO: SD to HD with BCC UpRez

Sony Vegas Pro Basics FORTY-TWO: SD to HD with BCC UpRez
  Play Video
Using non-HD footage in an HD timeline means that by default the content is scaled to fit within Sony Vegas Pro via the Event Pan/Crop function. While this is a helpful feature, it doesn't deal with the issue of the loss of quality that scaling brings, as well as significant softening of the image. Boris FX has added a plug-in called UpRez, which allows any asset to have its resolution upped to that of an HD clip, which means that you can use SD content with confidence in an HD timeline. In this tutorial, Andrew Devis shows the UpRez work-flow on both a standard SD clip and then on an older camera-phone clip!
