There was truly something for everyone at NVIDIA GTC, and a surprisingly rich amount of thoughtful presentations for the Media & Entertainment crowd. GTC provided many opportunities to learn the basics and, for the truly nerdy, many opportunities to dig deep. As a mere semi-geek, Debra Kaufman learned a lot and met a lot of interesting people. IBC 2012: NVIDIA
Mac enthusiasts were happy to learn that NVIDIA just introduced the Quadro K5000 for Mac Pro systems, based on NVIDIA Kepler architecture and featuring Cinema 4K display support. NVIDIA also unveiled its second-generation Maximus workstation, featuring the Kepler architecture. This means that users can now send compute work to the NVIDIA Tesla accelerator, reserving the Quadro K5000 GPU for content creation. Last, the company debuted a new line of Kepler-powered Quadro graphics solutions for mobile workstations.
