Found this great post and yes, it really works. Gotta give ya tons of credit: my head was spinning with in of the outgoing and out of the incoming and out of the out, well, you get it. If you keep it straight, it works wonderfully. Thanks for the post; very clever idea.

Incidently I never did recreate this after posting so will try your techique out as soon as I get back to office

Thank you so much for the whip pan tutorial, I have been trying to create a believable FX solution but failed miserably. This works a treat with a bit of wiggle at the end instead of the dead stop on the final image.
