Many times I get logos that just aren't properly sized. This is a perfect work-around.

is there any way to export the results of this to Illustrator? that would officially make this method way better than using the Illustrator pen tool.

Hi, Owen...

You can easily get these paths into Illustrator.

Just like you copy and paste in After Effects:
1. Copy (CMD/CNTRL C) the mask or shape path in AE.
2. Paste (CMD/CNTRL V) the path into Illustrator.
