Article Focus:
In this video tutorial, Jerzy Drozda Jr (aka Maltaannon) demonstrates how to create a radar that really works! You'll draw the radar, animate the target over it, and watch how the radar detects the object by itself, marks it on the grid and even makes a beeping sound.

This tutorial is no different from the others. It's not really about creating a certain effect. Oh no. It's about solving common and uncommon problems, and about finding solutions to situations that might occur in the future. All to help you work more efficiently by saving huge amounts of time. It's not about the final visual result, but the way to get there.

Loved the tutorial thanks. Just had one problem with it. When I applied the polar coordinates, the left and right edges of my radar clipped off the edges of the screen. Even when I reduced the scale with the adjustment transform, the clipped edges reduced with it. Any suggestions? I have AE 7 if that makes a difference.

Thanks for the great tutorial! Its always great to find new ways to do things you haven't thought about before. Unfortunately I am still in AE 6.5 and can not open the project file, but would still like to see the code you wrote for the detection. Could you post it? Thanks!

Thanks for the great tutorial! I have wanted to know how to make a good radar simulation for some time and this one is excellent.

I'm trying to learn expressions so this was very helpful in that respect as well. I wish that you could have gone into depth a little more on the more complicated expressions but I still learned a lot.

Thanks again. Keep up the great work!

What Are Adobe Motion Graphics Templates?

A Motion Graphics Template, referred to as a MOGRT, is an animated sequence that is self-contained and can be used in Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Premiere Rush and Adobe After Effects, combining graphics, text, audio and video files, as well as vector or still images (including logos), to create a still or animation that can then be customized by the MOGRT user.
