Re: Using the Echo Effect with Animated Layers

I see no echo when using composite in front and the same settings as I see in this tutorial. The composition is a video. I tried the footage, the precomposition, the precomposition source and the prerendered precomposition as footage. What am I missing?

Slightly different subject: If I use blend or the others, the color changes. Is there a forumalic way to correct the color? I suspect it is not a matter of adjusting brightness.

What I mean by correct the color is, if you used echo with one of the additive/subtractive echo operators for n frames of some video, is there a formula for getting the color ranges to match with and without the echo applied?

I should clarify that when I say i see no echo, I mean I see no difference. This is with either 15 or 1 repetitions and the delay of either the default or 1/3 second.
