Hello, I want to learn how to use ´´after effect´´ but when I open a video image is not displayed, and no sound is heard. could you tell me who is?

by Andrew Devis
Hi Adenawel

If you watch more of the series you will see that audio will not play without a RAM preview - which I cover later. And, that you need to create a new composition from your video files to be able to see them. Keep working through the series and all will become clear.

All the best

These are the best series (AE and Premiere Pro) of tutorials I have seen so far.

Thank you so much Andrew!

Best regards,
Ben.

Hello
Where can I download the files which Andrew Devis is using in this tutorial?
@Elisha Dvir
by Andrew Devis
Hi Elisha

Sorry for the late reply, I've been away training! The course I give on Creative Cow uses my own assets and I have made it on the assumption that you will use your own assets and so haven't provided anything for you to use.

In other words I'm working on the basis of showing what to do in your own projects.

Hope this helps

I was looking all over for a digestible, not to dumb, not too quick intro to AE and your series really fits the bill. Thanks!!

Hi Amanda

Really pleased you are liking the course, don't forget I've done some more advanced ones that you may find helpful in the ordinary section of After Effects tutorials. Once you've been through the basics, check them out and let me know what you think.

Thanks for the comment

Hi Ludovic

No problem using a project created on one machine type and the opening it up on another (pc/mac) the only issues you may have are ensuring that you don't try and open a CS5 project on a CS4 version of AE as that will probably fail. And, you will need to make sure you have the same assets on both machines so that when you open up on another machine you can re-link any missing assets so that the project displays correctly.

Hope this helps

Hi Andrew,

Thank you for this useful tutorial,

I was wondering: is it possible to use and AE file created using a pc and then opening it on a Mac.
I use a pc at home but a Mac at uni so I am wondering if there are compatibilities issues when switching from one to the other.

Thank you

Ludovic

This is done through a change to your keyframes called 'easing,' which causes the keyframes to change their default behaviour to give much more realistic and real world animation. As well as showing how to add easing to your animation, Andrew also introduces the graph editor to show how to change the values of eased keyframes.
