Hi Alex, thanks for the comment. I know what you mean, but to a certain extent PP does try! I work with HDV and if I select 'trimmed' it will always be a smaller folder than 'copied'. It may not be trimmed in quite the same way as other non t-frame footage and so not as small as it could be, but PP has a go ... My guess (although I've not tried it) is that you would get the same result with AVCHD.

Hey Andrew...

Might want to mentioned that HDV specifically (and perhaps other MPEG based formats?) are not able to be "trimmed" byt the project manager.
