Why use Twixtor?
by Lori Freitag
1. Twixtor’s quality is often much better.
2. Twixtor is usually faster (often 2 or more times faster).
3. Twixtor has a mode to enhance low-light and poor-contrast images for better tracking .
4.Option to add and remove motion blur based on the amount of speed up or slow down.
5. Smart processing of interlaced material.
6. Frame rate conversions are made with precision and ease.
7. You can still remap audio using AE, but use Twixtor “under the hood” to retime the images.
8. Twixtor Pro adds many features to fix footage that After Effects simply does not have.
9. Purchasing Twixtor for After Effects means you can also use it in other applications that supports AE-compatible plugins such as Premiere Pro, Combustion, Final Cut Pro (also natively supported), and others.

Also,

Minor but unlike Timewarp plugin in AE supports floating point processing
And naturally works in other applications that support AE plugins (such as premiere, combustion, fcp (also natively supported), quantel eQ, commotion, boris red ...)
