"We're as much a systems integrator as a manufacturer," pointed out JMR COO Mitchell Guzik. "What we build, we put together and test. We sort out a lot of potential problems for our technology partners."

New at NAB 2012 were the latest additions to JMR's BlueStor and SilverStor product families of cloud-ready RAID solutions, servers and workstations. The new products are the SilverStor Desktop/Rackmount Workstation and Server, SilverStor 3 and 5 Slot PCIe Extenders, BlueStor 1U Cloud Server/Metadata Controller, BlueStor Modular Appliance, BlueStor Rapid Encode Video Server, and BlueStor 3U Networked Storage Server.

"All these products speak to today's increasing need for versatility, accessibility, connectivity and now the cloud," said Guzik, who pointed out that since 1982, RAID systems have been manufactured entirely from JMR's Chatsworth, California facilities.

These products are designed to scale from the smallest to the largest facility and/or project. The SilverStor Desktop/Rackmount Workstation is targeted at video and DCC applications, and is configurable for workflows from HD to 3D, 4K and beyond. To enhance scalability and cloud computing, JMR introduced two new SilverStor 3 and 5 Slot PCIe Extenders.

For those intent on a cloud-based workflow, the BlueStor 1U Cloud Server is a high-speed metadata controller or cloud server. The BlueStor Modular Appliance is a "virtual traffic cop" to manage a studio's infrastructure and ensuring the highest security protocols. The upgraded BlueStor Rapid Encode Video Server, DigiLab is a high performance encoder and video server to manage any digital intermediate needs using Digital Rapids multi-format professional encoding and transcoding software.

Campers will also utilize JMR's latest media storage solutions to store, render and playback all footage that they shoot with RED One and Epic cameras.
