ARRI's new camera AMIRA
is a documentary-style design optimized for single-operator shoulder mounted use, straight out of the bag. AMIRA has the same 35 mm sensor as ALEXA with a dynamic range of 14+ stops. It records ProRes up to 4444 on CFast 2.0 cards, HD 1080/2K, Log C/Rec 709.

AMIRA also features in-camera grading with preloaded 3D LUT-based Looks. Productions can also build their own 3D LUTs in external grading systems or modify in-camera during shooting. Adobe Premiere Pro CC is the first NLE that can apply Look files included in AMIRA files and convert them from Log C to REC 709. The camera also has the ability to capture 200 fps slow motion with the full image size.
AMIRA is available in three configurations with different feature sets.

The AMIRA is ARRI's answer to lower budgets and shortened schedules in TV productions and documentaries, allowing for ease of use and doing more with less — less stuff, less gear, fewer people altogether.

ARRI's Ultra Wide Zoom UWZ 9.5-18/T2.9
is the first super wide-angle zoom lens for the professional cine market. The new design overcomes known performance issues with wide angle zooms and performance is comparable to (or exceeds) that of high-end wide angle prime lenses. To make things easier and more efficient on set, the UWZ can replace a range of wide angle primes. The zoom was designed for 4K, 6K or 8K camera applications with no issues, and is optimized for VFX applications — distortion being at a level less than 1% at 9.5mm. When you're shooting plate shots or anything else where maximum quality truly is important, you need straight lines to be straight.
ARRI is also working on a new version of ARRIRAW Converter
for the new Mac Pro. It was designed as a reference tool for ALEXA ARRIRAW files and is available as a standalone app. The new version will have an improved debayer algorithm that takes advantage of the render power of the Mac Pro's duel GPUs to achieve better than real time processing, even when up-rezzing to 4K or UHD-1.
By putting the same 35mm sensor as ALEXA in a versatile and ergonomic package like AMIRA, ARRI will undoubtedly continue to dominate television and film sets where image quality and on-set workflows are important — and expand further into productions where ALEXA was not previously a feasible choice for shooting.
