Hi John,

thank you very much for this tutorial. I have a question:

What do I do, when I have a shortfilm with many scenes and they are differently lighted and the colours doesn't match up. How can I have this comparison? Do you I have to cut every scene out and ut them on different tracks?

Thanks for taking time.

Best,

Marc

You can apply Color Match at the event level so you just need to determine which event has the "master" colors that you like and match the others to it, event by event.

Great Tutorial. Many parameters I didn't really know how to use. This has definitely helped!

Another outstanding tutorial, done with clarity.
But,could you not achieve the same result using the on board Sony Vegas Pro Colour Corrector, Levels, Colour Curves and so on?
This might not be a priority for me, at least at present.

Yes absolutely, if you know what you're doing with color and have the time. Many people don't have the skill it takes to use the three wheel color corrector. To me, it's a lot easier to say "make this color look like that color" which is what Color Match does. It's speed of editing that's more important to me.

Excellent tutorial John. Straightforward and instructive, as always, you want the User get to "DONE" as fast as possible without phaffing about.

I especially liked your use of the Vegas Scopes to "align" the two views colours highlights. Boris has got this process bolted down.

Grazie
