This site definitely has international flavor with contributing artists from all over the world. You’ll be able to download a new image every week just for registering, and these photos are high end must have images. If that’s not enough, iStock also offers a free vector image and video clip every month in addition to the free photos.

Shutterstock has millions of royalty free photos and they are giving away a photo and vector image every week for free. As the outstanding images below show, it’s worth the trip to their site every week. A matter of fact, Shutterstock’s free content is so cool I used some of it in the design of this article.

Narrator Tracks

Narrator Tracks creates royalty free music for a lot of genres. You can request any two free songs from their library, which can be some what difficult because they have such a huge selection. I’ve used their music on hundreds of projects and feel it’s worth the time to check out their music.

 

Partners In Rhyme

Partners In Rhyme is a place to find free sound effects, music loops and midi files. These sounds range in all sorts of categories. Their free selections is massive, so be sure to plan on spending some time on this site.

 

Soundsnap

Soundsnap offers free sound effects and loops. This site is a community of audio enthusiasts that want to share their original audio elements. You’ll be amazed at the huge amount of freebies available here.

 

The freebies on this list should be of value to any media professional. When I got free assets I used to think, “what in the world would I use that lousy clip for?” Not any more! Some of the highest quality assets that you would pay money for are available for free! Times have changed. No more eating free samples off a toothpick, it’s time to enjoy your free lunch and eat it too!

I would add another very nice music library called Hollywood Production Music. They do have some free resources, but you can also purchase very professional music at low prices for most usage types.
